i give a credit for Letto .

(GM)

aduh, ke.

Still on O’

Through a very disturbing morning, i cant get my self pay attention to the debate. With all the economic issues i cant get fully understand too. uh.

But I still lean toward Obama, though. I like that he, from the first time, declare himself as a pro choice. and i like pro choice. and he choose Joe Biden that clearly supports the gay couple’s rights. that’s mean a thing. you know you want that change.

Poor for McCain, coz he choose Palin in the first place. And poor that he’s so Republicant with all his grandfatherly looks. heheh. not that i dont like it, i just dont need it.

but here’s the quote i like the most from McCain this morning.

McCain: “Senator Obama, I am not President Bush, if you wanted to run against President Bush, you should have run four years ago.”

eh, wow. sharp tongued.

But McCain, would be the constinuation of the Bush’s policy. so it dont bother me. and so, for me, O still on the go because he’s right on that point.

still on O’ :)

tell me why we should not love this man

I always think that Johnny Depp was born to be the actor he is now. but for some others, they have to try hard to build an image they wanted to. and leo, i guess, is one of them.

This might not his first movie, but it must be the movie when i saw him at his youngest age. Leo in What’s Eating Gilbert Grape (1993).

what's eating gilbert grape

and this, in The Quick And The Dead (1995)quick and the dead

This, when people around the globe starts to put attention to the guy, Romeo and Juliet (1996)

romeo and juliet

One hit wonder, and i started to hate him for being such a cute little boy. first thing comes everytime i hear his name is, “oh yeah, that mama’s boy again. he’s so lucky to get that Titanic cast”. Titanic (1997) and the phenomenal pose.titanic

and The Man In The Iron Mask (1998), The Beach (2000), Gangs of New York (2002), Catch Me If You Can (2002), The Aviator (2004). and then, The Departed (2006), Blood Diamond (2006), and currently Body of Lies (2008).it looks to me, that he’s trying hard enough, to be the fan oh “bang bang bang” movie and change his image. say good bye to mama’s boy.

not that he’s my fave of all, but he’s worth the proud. don’t you think?

Tell What’s Wrong

Miranda Goeltom

Miranda, Miranda, Miranda….. What the hell in this world are you trying to show us? That you’re “sangat berjiwa muda”, cool, or that you, with all your dedication, excellent brain, and all, still keep your self updated to the trend? yes, we’re all know that burgundy, or wine red and such is the latest trend. but do you have to take it all? it really, really, doesn’t suit you at all. i mean, really. i don’t know whats wrong, maybe your age, maybe your job, or your lipstick. seriously, take it off, and i still respect you as a smart woman, despite all the bad news i currently read about you nowadays.

Unless, you’re trying to be one of three Powerpuff Girls.

Who’s The Martyr, You Say?

Body of Lies Various

I’m not a big fan of Ridley Scott. Even when i knew that Gladiator, the movie i was once admired, that made me fell in love with this man, Russel Crowe, was eventually made by Ridley Scott. My boyf is. “Aku akan sangat kecewa kalo ternyata film ini punya urusan-urusan dengan propaganda Amerika nanti.” That’s exactly what i told him exactly when the movie “Body of Lies” get started. And he simply replied what i catch as “Tenang aja. Aku percaya kok sama kredibilitas Ridley Scott yang malah sering anti Amerika.”

So i’m a-cry-easily person. especially, when it comes to movie, or okay, almost everything. I swear if i watched it with my other friends, i would pretend that i had something in my eyes, to cover my shed of tears. and, that’s happening in the very beginning of the movie, right after the bomber said “Bismillah” before they blew up the building. it touched me from the very bottom.

and i started to guess, how’s the movie would end up. i tried to catch every biased perspective i could catch. and i have to admit, this movie’s doing not bad. of course, from my very-limited-knowledge about the Middle east Conflict. Me, who just follow the running news from all the biased source. You might say you won’t go to watch this movie because you had enaough of all Hollywood’s Iraq propaganda film. but i guess Scott did it well, i kinda felt that he tried to catch all the sense. I wont say it an anti-America film. But I trully love him for this movie, cause Scott end it up by showing how they’re, the Americans, are no better than the terrorists. at least, thats what i think he’s trying to deliver.

Leonardo Dicaprio, plays Roger Ferris, an CIA. and he plays well. Russel Crowe, plays Ed Hoffman, Ferri’s boss. DiCaprio and Crowe? Big Deal! But Mark Strong, stole my attention when he plays his role as Hani Salaam. He’s cool :)
and now, I’m urged me to see American Gangster. Well he insisted from like, umm, a month ago, actually. I’m just too lazy to think, eh watch.

Happiest People In The World

Do you have any idea that the happiest country in the world is Denmark?

i read it currently in Business Week Indonesia October.  According to World Values Survey 2008, the freedom to choose and tolerance, and not only money, influence the level of people’s happines.

here’s the complete list,

1. Denmark

Maybe this country is not really the country when you’re fantasizing. its not Karibia, nor Paris, or Alpen, or Berlin, if i will. but the balance to manage the economy, high education standard, social securities, and people’s tolerance even to the strangers make them marked as the happiest people in the world. bad weather, i guess, is not a constrain.

2. Puerto Rico

Blame me for underestimating please. what did i  expect, please? if you ask me, i would mention Netherlands, Switzerland, or maybe Bali, hehehe… But no, its Puerto Rico, people!! even the economy is low, Puerto Ricans seems highly and simply satisfied for their long term summer time, the energetic musics, exotic beaches. oh, and they dont pay for federal tax too.im sure that will make me happy too.

3. Columbia

Do they care that “world” will identify their country mostly with cocain or drugs? nope. they dont. instead, they spread a highly tolerance to various ethnics. they support Arabian, Jewish, French, Portuguese, Germanic, Italian, whoeva.

4.Iceland

Yep, one of my “wanna-go-there” list is actually in the list! so the people of Iceland may not as cold as the name. Located in North Atlantic Ocean between mainland Europe and Greenland, the Icelandic live peacefully through the un-peaceful weather. But again, they enjoy the freeddom and proudly distribute the egallitarian values as their herritage.

5. North Ireland

Only 10 years ago, they had a war due to conflicts, between Catholic and Protestan, known as “The Troubles”. but yet i think, is the economic’s growth makes a major changing in people’s mind?

6. Ireland

Politic’s and economic’s stability, along with free education, and also focused on traditional values is the main cause, i guess.

7. Switzerland

Maybe i will be dissapointed if Swiss is not in the list. Since 1998, Swiss citizens have voted for a President, a woman president exactly. and quote this, the system maybe we could only dream about : “Direct Democracy”, where Swiss citizens have the civil right to submit a direct petition to the government to held a referendum, which may overturn parliamentary decisions. Dream on, Indonesians, dream on!

8. Netherlands

Not hard to guess, huh? even is Netherlands is the most densely populated in Europe, the liberal approach and social tolerance that has been a long tradition for Netherlands makes it easy (at least for me) to pick Netherlands as one of a place i want to spend my life in. heheh. and yes obey the fact; 350 tahun dijajah kompeni itu, (god i still remember), and mark this : tak sampai 20% penduduk negara yang sudah sangat sekuleritu pergi ke gereja. again, dream on! we will never be secular! (at least as long as i alive)

9. Canada

Again, tolerance. Maybe it a must so we can be hapyy too.

10. Austria

Austria have the high standard of life in economy and education. there laid one of the best mountains in the world, and yet they know exactly how to use it as the tourism property. they have, um, like Mozart and all.

and where the hell indonesia? we’re in number 40. in bad or good way. at least, we’re the 40 of 97. but indonesia is the bottom for Southeast Asia. Thailand is in 27, Singapore is in 31, Malaysia is in 34, Vietnam is in 36, and Philippines is in 38. but you guess what? we’re even better than Japan (43). well its Japanese, i guess they’re psycho. no offense.
